Once upon a time… I stopped saying “no” to my very persistent friend, (who I now realise just wanted to share what was a big source of her happiness with me) and for the first time in a while started taking my health and wellbeing more seriously than ever; I just didn’t realise it.

The only thing serious about the new calisthenics possé I’d found, or the run crew that whisked me up into its infectious fold of possibility, was, cue the wanky wellness line, how much potential we all have within us. Never before did the saying “your vibe attracts your tribe” seem truer. I’d found my people.

With an unthinkable collection of running related bling (race medals please my eye as much as a gold 90s hoop do) and the familiar feeling of “there’s something else I need”, my tight hamstrings helped me find my way back to yoga.

I was enjoying the practice but I felt kinda frustrated with the lack of diversity (in all senses of the word) in yoga settings and wondered if I could try to open up the yoga and wellness scene and created, #Yogahood and later Gyal Flex. I now bring my big smile and good vibes to the mat, with a fiyah playlist to help you find freedom, space and unapologetic movement, in the hope of bringing yoga to the people dem.

When I'm not on the mat you’ll find me, publicly speaking, hosting panels, teaching workshops, consulting and collaborating with brands and featured in campaigns.
